Virtual Reality Room for Aeronautical Maintenance Training Opens in Europe
Offering “a Virtual Reality immersive system, with its powerwall, polarized 3D glasses and joystick” AEROCAMPUS’ Virtual Reality room provides aeronautical maintenance trainees the ability to “experiment with maintenance operations in an ultra-realistic immersive environment that provides real-scale and real-time interactions.” And, speaking to a couple of the top cost-saving benefits of interactive tech, they’re excited to offer collaborative distance learning via systems located at other sites AND the ability to immediately incorporate the “slightest change in aircraft parts or maintenance processes.”
Military Training & Simulation Revenues Set to Steadily Grow
In a forecast made by market analysis firm Frost & Sullivan in its Global Military Training and Simulation (T&S) Market Assessment, revenues in the world’s military training and simulation market are expected to remain steady over the next ten years:
“T&S market revenues are expected to fall slightly from $6.74 billion in 2013 to $6.36 billion in 2022, but . . . budgets in the United States and Europe are expected to stabilize from 2018, and military spending and arms races across the Middle East, Central Asia and Asia-Pacific are expected to increase, fueling the need for procuring training systems.”
