In the O&M (Operations & Maintenance) industry, Training tools and content that exist today are static, unintuitive, overwhelming, and disconnected from the real world. They don’t relay information as an instructor would, in a live training session. Live sessions however are expensive, limited in reach, and hard to schedule.

Heartwood’s 3D Interactive Training lets students practice on virtual equipment that is replicated in form & function, allowing them to ‘Learn-by-doing’.
This in turn, empowers companies like OSHKOSH to accelerate user learning, reduce training costs and decrease expensive live training by being Visual, Interactive and Portable.

PROBLEM: The Military has been realizing the inefficacy of passive next-step style learning courses. Oshkosh Defense needed to expand its training capability by providing visual, interactive and portable training to its customers.

SOLUTION: Starting with the widely successful Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) platform, Virtual Operator Training applications will replicate the interactive experience of a live session and allow the users to perform the steps themselves.

1. Scale up training from one-at-a-time in a live session to 25 students per class.
2. Reduce damage and wear & tear to the U.S. Government’s demonstration vehicles, the only ones available for training.

1. Reduced training costs by 20% per student.
2. Sell next-gen style training content to their customers – the 3D interactive digital app can be distributed globally
