New Vessel Simulation Center Opens in Brazil
Sporting the latest in bridge simulation technology, Rolls-Royce opened this new facility to ensure clients achieve “optimal performance from the latest DP systems and deck machinery” housed on their vessels. Doing this “requires hours of hands on training” and this “safe and cost effective training center helps ensure crew members are better equipped to meet the real life challenges they face when out at sea, in often challenging conditions.” It offers “interactive team training with a diverse array of scenario planning options to test any skill level . . . providing hands-on experience in diagnosing and fixing problems.”

Mobile Immersive Environments Headed Your Way
Citing research from Harvard and Deloitte that “has proven simulated training dramatically improved knowledge retention and performance,” Morf Media announced “the mobile platform that creates simulations in immersive environments which engage employees by mimicking real-life situations to enable learning through practice.”

“The problem is very clear, employees at enterprises are forced to undertake continuous training during their busy jobs and most of the current training is very uninspiring, so they try to skip it or do the minimum amount to pass tests. That’s why performance of companies is hampered and there is poor skills-retention and mistakes often cost companies millions of dollar as well as damage their brand value.”
