Job Description and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has experience animating both human and non-humanoid characters. A solid grasp of the principles of body movement, anticipation, overshoot, follow-through, squash and stretch, forward and inverse kinematics, and other facets of both 2D and 3D animation is essential. The ideal candidate works well in an environment of peers who are passionate about making great animations
Heartwood offers a fun, creative, and technically rewarding environment. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Production and a talented team of artists.

Requirements:
• Self-driven, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
• Exceptional skill in animating objects as well as the human bipedal figure
• Skill with both action and subtle animation
• Experience with facial animation and motion capture files mixing
• Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, squash, stretch, etc.)
• Exceptional skills in animating natural and expressive human motion to create realistic, fluid character animations.
• Strong understanding of creative and technical challenges particular to character animation
Desired Skills:
• Rigging and Skinning
• Traditional art skills
Sample Work Required:
• An online portfolio that is kept up to date is the best reference.
• Please include an explanation of your work: what you were responsible for, what tools were used, etc.
Compensation:
