Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sopogy Inc. designs, manufactures, and markets micro-scaled concentrating solar power technology (MicroCSP). They specialize in the design and sale of solar system hardware and outsource the fabrication to specialized manufacturers. Sopogy is aggressively scaling its business via channel partners and thus, required a training solution for their solar products that could be distributed globally with a near loss-less transfer of subject matter expertise. Heartwood’s 3D Interactive Learning applications were a perfect fit since they are Virtual, Visual and Scalable, all running within a web-browser and on iPad tablets.
The 3D Interactive Learning app instructs the assembly process of their SopoHelios MicroCSP collector, complete with virtual tools and 360 degrees of 3D interactivity designed to speed the learning process and improve retention rates. In addition to being an advanced training tool, the module is modified to serve as a powerful 3D Interactive LeadGen application, allowing sales teams to virtually build complex solar power systems and reconfigure them on the fly in sales presentations.
