In this example, augmented reality training allows that warfighter to receive immediate virtual “over-the-shoulder” mentoring from an experienced maintenance technician. The technician points the camera on their mobile device (such as an iPhone or Android phone), and it overlays the live image with 3D digital animations, voiceovers, and instructions.
